Estradiol is the most active female hormone. It is produced in the ootheca and adrenal glands of women. In men, Estradiol is developed in the android glands and mostly in the peripheral tissuers.

The lowered levels of Estradiol can be an attribute hypogenitalism, however, more often, Estradiol level goes down owing to taking some medicines, for example, oral contraceptives.

Estrace (Estradiol) is a naturally occuring form of oestrogen and norethisterone (synthetic form of progesterone), appointed for diagnostic treatment of the common symptoms related to menopause (flushes, vaginal waterlessness, etc.), prevention of bone crackings related to osteoporosis, decrease of the risk of heart attacks and strokes, and dysfunctional (unreasonable and abominable) uterine bleeding.
