Melanoma or Cancer Moles
Melanoma is a malignant tumour (cancer) originating from epithelial cells of the skin. Melanoma is the most aggressive of all known malignant tumours that quickly forms metastasises after which it is considered practically incurable. At the same time, it is easier to prevent melanoma development than other kinds of cancer. For this purpose it is necessary to watch closely only for moles and pigmentary stains on the skin and to know what symptoms are possible to define melanoma.As we have already mentioned the source of melanome development which are pigmentary cells synthesizing a biological pigment, called melanin, coloring the skin and pigmentary stains on the skin. Many cells (melanocytes) are in moles, freckles, nevusis. For early diagnostics of melanoma it is very important to know characteristics of the structure and all the pigmentary formations on the skin. Very often, visiting the doctor, a patient does not know how a healthy person mole should look like, and how it differs from an atypical nevus or malignant tumour.
Main Symptoms:
- Fast growth of new moles or beginning of fast growth of old moles;
- Changes in the planimetric line of an old mole (rough, faltering edges) or occurrence of new moles with indistinct edges;
- Irregular colouring (various shades of brown, black and colorless parts) of a new fast-growing mole or occurrence of these attributes in relation to an old one.
Leukeran (Chlorambucil) is a most effective anti-cancer medication that is used to stop the growth of harmful cancer cells.Labels: Cancer
