Neuritis and Neuralgia
Neuritis and neuralgia are two words which are often met in neurology. When speaking about neuralgia, we mean the disease of peripheral nerves. It is accompanied by acute pain in different parts of the body. In this article, it will be a question of other disease of neurology, namely neuritis. You can learn about all the kinds of neuritis, its activators and development.Neuritis is a certain inflammatory process which touches one or several peripheral nerves. All types of neuritis are subdivided into two greater groups. The first group is mononeuritis. At such a kind of neuritis, we can talk just about one nerve. There can be neuritis of the facial or sciatic nerve. Other kinds are related to polyneuritis. At this kind of neuritis, there is a plural defeat of nerves. It can be an intercostal neuritis.
These are two kinds of neuritis that differ from each other due to the external symptoms. However, both of them appear as a result of influence of infection which exists in the body of a patient. It occurs that the peripheral nervous system of a person perceives any inflammatory infection very quickly.
Often enough we obverse neuritis in the medical practice. Neuritis by the nature develops for a very short time interval. During facial neuritis in a patient, the incomplete paralysis of muscles are observed. In the medicine this process takes the name of Bell's palsy. The patient practically does not feel the sick part of the face, as it is motionless. Also the angles of eyes and mouth fall down. The patient with the obverse neuritis can return to the former condition, but for this purpose a lot of time and patience are necessary.
