Prescription:

CLOPIDOGREL (Plavix) is applied for cutting down the risk of apoplexy or heart attack in patients who have already had a heart attack or apoplexy, or have other circulatory problems due to narrowing and hardening of the arteries. Clopidogrel is a platelet aggregation inhibitor.  It acts by retardation or stopping thrombocytes from sticking to blood vessel walls or bruised tissues.

Inform your Physician if you have any of the following conditions:

• hemorrhage disease or bleeder's disease;
• biliary disorder;
• late surgical operation or psychic trauma;
• abdomen or intestinal ulcerations;
• an uncommon allergy to clopidogrel, other medications, nutrients, dyestuffs, or preservatives;
• expectant or wishing to get pregnant;
• lactating.

Application Method:

• consume clopidogrel orally;
• stick to the instructions on the prescription leaflet;
• endeavor to consume your drug at the same time daily.

Dose Skipped or Missed:

It is significant that you recollect consuming your dose daily. If you omit a dose, consume it as soon as you are able to. If you don't recollect until the following day, contact your physician or healthcare professional for details.

Side-effects can be noticed while taking Clopidogrel:

If you feel the side effects, mentioned below, you shall apprize your physician as soon as possible:

Pay much attention while consuming Clopidogrel:

You may feel dormant or airheaded. Do not drive, apply machinery, or do anything that demands brain watchfulness until you know how clopidogrel influences you. To cut down the risk of airheaded or conking spells, do not sit or stand up rapidly.

Avoid alcoholic beverages; they can make you more dormant, and multiply buffing and speedy pulsations. Consume clopidogrel at bedtime to lessen the effects of sleepiness and giddiness, but be careful if you have to arise during the nighttime. Sleepiness and giddiness are more expected to occur after the first dose, after an addition in dose, or during hot weather or exercise.
